Kinderland Amstelveen is a summer camp which takes place in the 4th and 5th weeks of the summer holidays. Approximately 130 volunteers take care of and entertain about 700 children during these two weeks. We involve ourselves in a wide range of activities according to age-specific programmes such as swimming, handicrafts, sand painting and water games at Kinderland itself, while at other locations we take them to play laser games, go trampolining and canoeing, run obstacle courses, go for overnight stays and much more. The last day at Kinderland is a day out to a theme park for all groups up to group H.

For activities at other locations we needed different types of buses. For the programme commission, transport organisation has always been one big jigsaw puzzle. What was the final result?

Everything ran smoothly once the camp started and we remained in close contact with Bookabus. The kids had another brilliant fortnight. And they thought the Bookabus surprise trip – a trip on the Almere City FC bus to Nemo Amsterdam – was the icing on the cake.
